A superb inlaid mahogany work table, the top with string inlaid edge over two inlaid drawers flanked by figured maple panels. The legs with intertwined stringing and pendant stylized acorns and inlaid cuffs. Southern New England, circa 1810.
A wonderfully inlaid mahogany stand with a beautiful aspect. It is indeed uncommon to find a stand with such elaborate decorative treatment.
Excellent condition with some restoration to stringing. Replaced drawer pulls. Recently refinished yet retaining a warm patina. 29 inches high, top measures 18 1/4 by 15 1/8 inches.
