James King Bonnar, MA. 1883-1961. Oil on Canvas. Signed lower right. A large important looking painting by a well known member of the Rockport School. Mounted in a handsome ebonized frame with a narrow linen liner, 33 inches high, 37 1/2 inches wide.
James K. Bonnar was active in the North Shore Art Association. He was a gradate of the Massachusetts School of Art. He studied with Joseph DeCamp and Ernest Major and was a contemporary of Emile Gruppe, Aldro Hibbard and Anthony Thieme
